Art Enables is thrilled to announce that The Library of Congress has acquired 6 works by resident artist and Studio Assistant Toni Lane! Toni’s works were among the very first of what will be a collection of COVID-19-related artwork acquisitions by the Library. The Art Enables community was very excited to see Toni and her COVID-19-themed works highlighted on NBC4 News, and in a thoughtful article on the Library of Congress blog.
"To my eyes, Toni Lane’s COVID-19 drawings exemplify the superpower artists have to witness, envision, and tell vital stories that can invite us to care and reflect." - curator Katherine Blood of the Library of Congress.

Jay has an instantly recognizable style that playfully combines bold, colorful abstract shapes with delicate ink linework. Jay's work sometimes depicts landcapes, objects and faces, and sometimes represents more abstract concepts and emotions. Whatever his subject matter, Jay's paintings and drawings vibrate with energy and motion. He is engaged and prolific, and as enthusiastic as he is thoughtful.
