Eligibility Requirements:

- Art Enables serves adult artists with intellectual, developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities and individuals with a mental health diagnosis. 

- Artist must be 21 years of age or older and live in the DC metro area. 

- Interested applicants must demonstrate a history of art experience or interest.

- Art Enables is a fee-for-service program. To become a resident artist at Art Enables, artists must:

- have funding from a sponsoring agency/organization 

- or have the capacity to meet the fee requirements independently. 

Art Enables has a limited number of Artist Scholarships available for those unable to meet the fee requirements.

How to Apply:

All interested artists must go through a formal intake interview and assessment process. If you are interested in becoming a resident artist please complete the form below and you will be contacted as spots become available.
