Pull some loops at Art Enables’ September Saturday Workshop: Off the Hook: Hook Rug Art!

Once considered a humble folk craft made from scraps, rug hooking has evolved into a celebrated art form within outsider art, fiber art, and contemporary craft movements. Inspired by our current exhibition “Outside Forces,” this hands-on workshop introduces you to the basics of rug hooking. You’ll design and create your own abstract mini hooked rug to take home, and no prior experience required.

Drop in anytime between 11 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, September 13. The workshop is free and open to all ages, though younger makers may need a helping hand with the hook. Art Enables Saturday Workshops are designed to be family-friendly and welcoming to artists of every skill level.
