Art Enables Saturday Workshop
Crafting Worlds: Peephole Dioramas
August 16 | 11am - 3pm
Step into a world of wonder at Art Enables’ August Saturday Workshop: Crafting Worlds: Peephole Dioramas. Inspired by our exhibition "The House Protects the Dreamer," and hosted by artist and Art Enables Artist Advancement Coordinator, Shreya Basu, this hands-on, drop-in workshop invites participants to build their own miniature dreamscapes—tiny, imaginative havens constructed inside a box and viewed through a peephole. Using a variety of mixed media materials, you’ll design both the interior and exterior of your diorama, layering color, texture, and meaning to create a personal world of safety, creativity, and rest. Peer inside your finished piece and discover a new perspective—a shimmering glimpse into your inner world.
This workshop is free, family-friendly, and open to all art-making abilities. Drop in anytime between 11 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, August 16 to join the fun. Registration is recommended to reserve your spot; we may close sign-ups if we reach capacity.
Art Enables is committed to providing access to everyone. If you require accommodation during your visit, please make a note in the RSVP or email us at info@art-enables.org.
Art Enables mission to amplify the creative careers of artists with disabilities is only possible because of the generous support of people like you!
