Art Enables Saturday Workshop
Art of Assemblage
July 20 | 11 AM - 3 PM
Join us for an exciting hands-on experience at our next Saturday Workshop where you'll learn the fascinating art of assemblage! Originating in Europe in the early 1900s, assemblage art combines elements of 3D collage and sculpture, using scrap materials such as metal, wood, paper, wire, clay, fabric, and found objects like twigs, roots, and dried leaves. This unique form of artistic expression brings together ephemera from both the manufactured and natural worlds.
Participants will have access to a wide array of materials, including wooden cigar boxes, glue, and paint, to create their own assemblage masterpieces. We'll also demonstrate various image transfer methods to help you achieve a vintage look in your creations. Feel free to bring your own objects, photos, and images to personalize your artwork further.
Drop-in anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 20 to create your very own assemblage art!
Art Enables Saturday Workshops are free, family-friendly, and welcome all art-making abilities. Registration is recommended to secure your spot. We may close registration if we reach capacity.
