It’s Art Enables’ 25th birthday, and you’re invited to our party! This exhibition is a celebration of where we are at a quarter-century, with works by all our currently active resident artists, and a (sculptural) cake for each meaningful year we’ve been dreaming and creating together. Twenty-five years of art. Twenty-five years of community. Twenty-five years of possibility.

Each day, Art Enables artists work alongside one another in pursuit of their individual visions, producing bodies of work that reflect their lived experiences, articulate the textures of worlds both real and imagined, and tell the stories they deem worthy of sharing. To make meaning through a diligent and focused practice—to insist upon what one has to say—requires a clarity of conviction that demands cultural attention.

The magic of our studio is that when artists with disabilities claim the space to pursue their ideas, these individual pursuits ultimately build into a collective assertion. Your being here with us at this literal and metaphorical party means you are part of the assertion: part of an increasingly-inclusive art world that knows how much richer the cultural landscape is when more voices are encouraged to thrive inside it.
