The Library of Congress Acquires 6 New Works by Toni Lane!
Art Enables is thrilled to announce that The Library of Congress has acquired 6 works by resident artist and Studio Assistant Toni Lane! Toni’s works were among the very first of what will be a collection of COVID-19-related artwork acquisitions by the Library. The Art Enables community was very excited to see Toni and her COVID-19-themed works highlighted on NBC4 News, and in a thoughtful article on the Library of Congress blog.

FEATURED ARTIST
Egbert "Clem" Evans creates rich and complex painted scenes based upon family events, people that he has met in his travels, or things he has read, seen, or experienced. He has a keen sense of memory and is able to draw from this to build his compositions. Heavily narrative and character-driven, it is easy to miss people, objects, and scenes in his work if you aren’t looking closely. Due to his sharp sense of color, Clem’s vibrant works are full of life whether viewed close-up or from afar.
