Join Art Enables in welcoming the traveling exhibition, “The Road Ahead,” as it makes it’s 2018 mid-Atlantic premiere! “The Road Ahead” is a national traveling exhibit organized by Sophie’s Gallery (California), featuring work by 24 individual artists from programs similar to Art Enables. AE resident artists Michael Haynes, Michael Schaff, Michael Knox, and Helen Lewis have work featured in the exhibition.

A free reception with complimentary snacks and wine will be held in our Studio Gallery on July 14 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Participating programs in the exhibit include: Art Enables, Creative Trails, Hozhoni Foundation, Imagine That!, MOSA Museum of Special Art, N4th Gallery, Sophie’s Gallery and Suzi Cappa Art Center. Together, they celebrate the tremendous talents of artists with developmental disabilities and help them to forge a personal identity that is creative, original, sensitive, independent, imaginative—and as someone who’s work can affect an emotional response in others.

Featuring the artwork of 24 individual artists, “The Road Ahead” will touch many lives across the United States as it travels for over one year stopping in San Diego, CA; Flagstaff, AZ; Rapid City, SD; Portland, ME; Washington DC; Kansas City, MO; Albuquerque, NM; and Bothell, WA. The show will travel through July 2019.
