Wish You Were Here: Face Time

Apr 13 - Apr 19

We’re pleased to present the “Wish You Were Here” series of mini online exhibitions. In lieu of being with us at our studio and gallery during our closure, we’re bringing more Art Enables to you at home. Each themed collection features work by three of Art Enables talented resident artists, and 100% of sale proceeds from this affordably-priced work will go directly to our artists during this closure.

In this time of social distancing, it’s nice to see a friendly face. This online exhibition with work by Egbert “Clem” Evans, Paul Lewis, and Imani Turner brings 12 bright, bold faces to your day, including a few characters you may recognize.

Clem creates rich and complex painted scenes based on family events, people that he has met in his travels, or things he has read, seen or experienced. Heavily narrative and character-driven, it is easy to miss people, objects, and scenes in his work if you aren’t looking closely. See more of his work here.

Paul draws as easily and as rhythmically as most people breathe. He is equally at home in acrylic, watercolor, or oil pastel and prefers strong color and line work to create form and texture. He takes inspiration from pop culture, sports, and current events. See more of his work here.

Imani’s jubilant personality and joyful disposition are evident in her work. While she favors colored pencils, she is equally at home experimenting with different mediums and materials. Her work is often based on her favorite books, activities, and people. See more of her work here.
