We’re pleased to present the “Wish You Were Here” series of mini online exhibitions. In lieu of being with us at our studio and gallery during our closure, we’re bringing more Art Enables to you at home. Each themed collection features work by three of Art Enables talented resident artists, and 100% of sale proceeds from this affordably-priced work will go directly to our artists during this closure.
In honor of loved ones we can’t visit right now as well as those close at hand 24/7, this week’s online exhibition references snapshots from a family photo album. Maurice Barnes, Jacqueline Coleman, and Payman Jazini depict families gathered happily around the dinner table and in the car, friend families, a birthday party, and the family dog and cat. While perhaps not every day with kin is this harmonious, “Family Album” celebrates joyful moments with the people (and creatures) who shape our lives.
Maurice is an incredibly talented illustrator and artist. He has a remarkable ability to reimagine characters, images, and scenes in a distinctive style, sharing views of narratives with many moving parts. Maurice works with a combination of speed and precision and brings a kind and joyful spirit to his work and to the studio. See more of his work here.
Jacqueline is naturally a quiet and reserved person, but her artwork speaks volumes. She paints with very precise brush strokes and her use of color is bold and beautiful. As an artist, she does many things well and seeks to constantly challenge herself – painting landscapes, buildings, animals, and abstract compositions. See more of her work here.
Payman, with his cheerful spirit, is the consummate showman. He is extremely proud of his artwork and takes great pride in escorting visitors to view his work. Payman’s family is a very important part of his life. His work is often autobiographical in nature and frequently tells the story of experiences with family and friends. Payman’s artwork radiates happiness - his color palette is vibrant and bright, and everyone and everything bares his trademark smile. See more of his work here.
