Payman suffered a traumatic brain injury as a teenager that left him impaired in his mobility and unable to speak, but it hasn’t for a moment stopped Payman from laughing and joking and trying to make trouble when things get slow at the lunch table. Payman’s artwork radiates happiness: everyone and everything is smiling--the people, the birds, the flowers--and the colors are consistently bright and uncompromising.
