Jean’s career in public policy was ended when she was sidelined by a nervous breakdown. Today, her art is playing an important role in helping her conquer her anxieties and re-engage with the community. The studio gives her structure and someplace she needs to be. The success of her art in the market, especially among woman (although many a man has also walked off with a piece), renews her self-confidence.
